Privacy policy

EJL Roofing Residential Ltd is a small, family-run roofing firm at 53 Queenswood Grove, York YO24 4PN (Company No. 15305633). This page explains what happens to any personal information you give us. The short version: we use it to reply to you and quote the work, and for nothing else.

What we collect

If you use the enquiry form we ask for your name, phone number, postcode and a description of the job, plus your email if you choose to give it. If you ring, WhatsApp or email us, we keep the details you share the same way any small firm keeps its diary: name, number, address of the job and what was discussed.

How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry, arrange a survey and quote the work.
• To carry out and invoice work you have booked.
• To keep records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices and guarantee paperwork.

We do not sell your details, share them with marketing companies, or add you to any mailing list. There is no newsletter.

Where form submissions go

The enquiry form is processed by Netlify, our website host, which stores the submission and forwards it to our email. Netlify's own privacy notice is at netlify.com/privacy. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp under their terms.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we add basic visitor analytics in future, we will update this page first and say exactly what is measured.

How long we keep things

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within 12 months. Records for completed jobs are kept for the length of the workmanship guarantee plus the periods HMRC requires for business records.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email info@ejlroofingresidential.co.uk or ring 07500 544781 and we will sort it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
